For 2020 Wellington Golf will run Interclub competitions for Women both during the week and in the weekend. Overall there are more than 400 players taking part, with some playing both midweek and weekend.
The Pennants competitions are played on Mondays. There are separate Silver and Silver/Bronze Combo 18 hole matchplay competitions, sinlgles and a teamball played within the playing group. These two competitions are played with the application of handicap, NZG Handicap Indices applying.
There are two 9 Hole Women's competitions, also played in the week. One divison is for players who wish to play 9 holes of Interclub in the week, regardless of membership catergory or handicap index (the open grade), and the other division is for players who hold a 9 hole membership and a 9 hole handicap index (the 9H index grade).These competions are matchplay with the application of handicap, played over 9 holes.
In the weekends, Division one is the Lansdowne Trophy, a 36 Hole competition with a foursomes format being played in the morning, and singles in the afternoon. This competition is matchplay played without application of handicap. The first round is a double round, round robin for the Lansdowne Salver, the second round a knockout competition for the Lansdowne Trophy.
Division two is the Mary Alward/Tuakana Competiton which is matchplay played with the application of handicap, contested over 18 holes, sinlgles and a teamball played within the playing group.Teams of 8 play in two sections, with section winners going through to a final.
